About the Author: After having two pieces of prose accepted for publication in a book for high school students, Diane was encouraged by her teachers to become a writer. However, writing took a backseat to her first passion: Art. Over the years, she has had a wide variety of experiences and jobs—everything from driving trailer trucks across country to painting billboards. To Diane, every experience, good or bad, was potential research for novel writing—someday. It has been thirty-plus years since she was originally encouraged to peruse a writing venue, however, now someday has finally arrived.
